BookShark Box Day!!!!!

Hello Everyone! Welcome our blog.

We are very excited for the 2018 school year. My little one is starting Kinder and we are very new to homeschooling. When my son was born, we were already thinking of homeschooling him, though we are not sure for how long. But for now we are enjoying learning together as we embark on this journey.

So, this year we decided to go with a charter school. Technically, this is our second year homeschooling. We did Classical Conversations last year and I had the privilege of being one of the tutor. It was a fun experience learning how to teach the kids in a more playful way.

With our new year choosing a charter school, My son is already having fun. Lots of field trips to choose from!

As for our chosen curriculum, we have BookShark! I've heard many good things about them and they have been in the business for quite a while. We haven't started our school day yet, but we have already received our BookShark Curriculum in July. I can't say much about the curriculum at the moment except that it is heavy on reading(lot's of books!!!) which we don't mind since my son love's to read.

The Curriculum comes in a set for each grade level. We are using Level K.

Everything is pack separately, such as History, LA, etc...all you need to do is file all curriculum in the binder and follow the instructions on how to arrange them in order.
The binder, is also optional(if you don't want to buy it)
All Teacher's Manual (or Instructions Guide) are included. Everything is already set for you, weekly lessons, books to read, activities and experiments to do and so on.

The binder has tabs on the side, which corresponds to the weeks lesson.

For Math, you customize order. You can choose Saxon, Singapore etc...
We chose Math U See, and it comes with the block manipulative, work book, a DVD and an online access for additional help instructions on how to teach the lesson.

Science has a kit and a DVD included

Dry erase marker. maps, wooden letters and other miscellaneous that you need.

These are all the books,  There is also a blank Timeline notebook for history, where your child can put on the timeline stickers according to your lesson.

BooKShark is an all in one curriculum set. I will post more about the lessons and curriculum as we use them this year. Hope this post help those of you who are thinking and considering homeschooling your kids.

Super Cap GUN TOY PISTOL review

Playing and reviewing Toy Gun and Super Cap Ring.

We had fun playing with it, but I would not recommend the ring cap. It suppose to have 8 shots per ring but we only get 2 or three fire shot the most.

The gun is okay. a bit hard to squeeze the trigger.

But I guess you get what you pay for.
